KILL DEVIL HILLS, THE

The Drought (LP) | DELETED

After their amazing fiirst album “heathen songs” (Bang!-lp/cd17) THE KILL DEVIL HILLS come back with this second album where they continue in the direction of the first one but dirtier and with more rock.
If in the first album we had to name Nick Cave and Hugo Race as influential sounds, now we are pleasantly forzed to think of THE BEASTS OF BOURBON when we listen to some of the killer tracks in this record.
This gang of Western Australia animals handle their swamp folk blues sound and take it to a wilder and more extreme world of sounds where melodies and violins are remaining present in a wall of sound in order to force you to stop and listen.
After touring Australia and America, THE KILL DEVIL HILLS release this album in order to show us how they are not “the next big thing”. They are already a fact of the most impressive sounds in the boiling Australian scene.
BANG! Rcds, releases this band again and, as usual, with Bang! quality. Limited edition of 500 handnumbered copies, deluxe gatefold LP and triple cover digipack CD with inner booklet.
If you heard the first one, for sure you will get it. If you didn´t, go and listen to both of them.
