Originally released in 2000 as a CD-only collection, Twilight Curtains gathers rare, unreleased and alternate material recorded between 1991 and 1997, capturing the band at the crossroads between heavy psychedelic rock, damaged pop, grunge-era darkness and widescreen melodic intensity.
Formed by Robert Roth together with Hiro Yamamoto, co-founder of Soundgarden, and Mark Pickerel, founding drummer of Screaming Trees, Truly were never simply another Seattle band. Their music carried the weight, distortion and intensity of the era, but pushed far beyond genre: more ambitious, more strange, more atmospheric, and far less predictable.
This collection includes alternate versions, unreleased recordings and lost fragments from the band’s most inspired years, making Twilight Curtains an essential companion to Fast Stories… From Kid Coma and Feeling You Up.
